This film came out today, and I had been eagerly awaiting it's arrival for about a month. So I saw it.
The film raises a lot of questions, some of which will only seem important to writers of fiction. If one discovers that a character is real, is it moral to continue writing that character? Is it murder to kill this character?
But even more than questions asked, this movie tells the story of an incredibly brave man. Harold Crick is willing to sacrifice everything in favor of the better story. He evolves, dramatically and believably, into a new person in the course of the story, and you will feel for him when he discovers his imminent death.
I highly recommend the flick. It's wonderful.
