In my opinion i think the harry potter film are absolutly awful in comparison with the master pieces that are the books. i mean the characters have been altered especially that of hermione. i mean shes been changed into some sort of girly girl and thats not what she is at all. also ron is much more vocal in the books.

also , alothough i know they have to cut out certain parts of the books, they cut out the major plots so that peopkle with no knowledge of the books could understand the plot.

The movies are awful. The only one with any decent direction was the third one. They're all incredibly noncohesive, and it's obvious that the director's don't give a shit about whoever's doing the next film. They just decide to cut out huge chunks of necessary information.

you gotta expect that it will differ,but it is no doubt that you MUST read the book and then it is ur choice to see the movie........

Ii enjoy the movies but I love the books even more. Although Daniel Radcilffe gets hotter with EVERY movie :D

Most people who have watched the movies and not the books think harry potter is rubbish but they dont know what they are missing out on. The Harry Potter films are quite interesting to watch though.

Hm, I loved the third one. But you know, there is so much detail in the books. If every single part was put into the films, each film would be at least 4 or 5 hours long. The directors have to think about the public. If the film is too long, people won't watch it.
You can tell that the directors are different though, too.
I hated the idea of the students wearing their own clothes in the third film, other than that I liked it.

Agree. As far as I remember in the books most of the time people are wearing their robs, not muggle clothing every second. I like the movies, but the books will always be more dear to me.

I sort of just go to see them to see them. They don't do anything for me. Either they're all right, or they do things wrongly enough to bug me. I'm sure if I hadn't read the books, I'd really love the movies.
