Wasn't funny. The concept is probably one of the most brilliant things I've ever seen on film, but it's basically like Coming To America without the occasional funny jokes. It wasn't because of the hype either. I don't have a tv anymore, so I've basically been living under a rock. He seemed like he could've delivered a lot harder. The only smirkworthy joke I heared was the, "We support your war of terror" joke. It was no Snakes On A Plane, but maybe you'll like it.

They were sold out of Borat tickets, so my friend and I bought Man of The Year tickets and went into the Borat theater. There obviously weren't any seats left so we sat in the aisle up front. It was worth it, Borat was halarious.

It may seem like idiotic humour, but it's actually intelligent satire.

It just seemed dragged on there was no point to it.
But yeah it did have some funny moments.

and about RHPS, how is Rocky Horror lowbrow comedy? If anything it is actually higher middle or highbrow, theres a lot of hidden stuff in there that most people overlook. Its more fun than it is funny, and this is coming from the #1 Rocky Horror fan on teenspot

I thought it was hilarious. I can't think of one moment when the theatre was quiet; everyone was laughing the entire time. It wasn't lyke ttly amazing, omgz, but it was really funny. And that's exactly what I was expecting, so it's good enough for me. :)

The torrent for it sticks at 13%, no-one is seeding :(

It really isn't that. Maybe with some of the conservatives, but it really just didn't have any funny jokes. We know how stupid we are. That's why we already expected every "joke" he threw out.

Maybe. But American movie critics loved it as did most of the viewers in the theater I was in, judging by the laughter. They even clapped at the end, which I haven't seen happen since Farenheit 911.

fantastic little movie. absolutely love Sasha Baron Cohen. laughed the whole way through, and as a secular jew, its nice to see someone lampooning anti-semitism that has nothing to do with nazi's or islam. best none-fiction comedy to come about in a long long time on any medium. a farce and a smack to intelectual and social politeness, like Jackass Part 2, one of those films some will find brilliant and some will find rude and vulgar, and niether will be wrong.

But it was sold out for like the next 3 shows. So we were like screw it, we'll watch it next weekend. I'm not putting my expectations up too high because I don't want to be disappointed.
