Yeah, well, I got it done a few weeks ago.

Yes. It did hurt.
I had a trainee do it (it was cheaper that way).

I'm not a fan of them, but I've never heard of a guy getting his belly button pierced, so kudos for that.

Possibly...I just thought you were female because you got your navel pierced and that's a typically female thing to do.
The whole snail-trail thing should've tipped me off...I just thought you were a particularly hairy chick.

i don't think i've ever heard of a guy peircing his naval. i personally don't think they look nice on any gender.
