If the mother dies, at any stage, the baby would have to be removed instantly and kept alive. Seeing as the mother would be dead and unable to deliver the baby, it would have to be removed by make-shift caesarean.

I don't think your typical psychopath could perform such as operation :shrug:

i heard of one case but it was planned and done inside a house but i'm not sure whether the mother was alive or dead when the baby was removed but the chances of survival for the baby without instant medical care is probually slim to none and the chance of that happening are almost nil so nothing for the thread starter to worry about

Maybe the psychopath ambushes the woman at a late stage of pregnancy, and before killing her, cuts out her unborn baby and leaves the woman to bleed to death.

Well Kezzstar, it all depends on what stage of pregnancy the mother is in and how long the baby is left in the mother after she dies. A baby, still in the womb, can only live a very short time after the mother has passed. It is possible but not plausable. Besides most average, murderous women would not know how to preform a C-section, which is technically what would have to happen.

So the baby could still survive? Even only for a few minutes while its cut from the womb?
