ceramic is supposed to be better to use because it doesnt burn and damage your hair like the other stuff does

I have GHDs and they're brilliant, although I'm trying to cut back on straightening at the moment.

Umm...I use Con-Air.
It wasn't one of the cheap Con-Airs though.
Mine cost about $30.
It works really good though.
Be careful though. It gets hot VERY fast.
I've burnt myself by just touching the hair I just finished straightening (sp?).

yes. FX. thats the only styling stuff that really works on curly hair to get it straight. shampoo wont make your hair less curly.

Eek. People with curly hair shouldn't straighten they're hair, just looks weird.

I have a remington wet to straight... I really like it, but I wouldn't recommend straightening your hair when it's still wet, even though the straigtener is supposed to work on wet or dry hair... when I turned it up to the highest heat setting when my hair was wet, it made it really frizzy and my hair made a creepy sizzling noise. o_o

I use Vidal Sasoon, the crystal plated ones. They work great for me, in fac, they are the only ones that actually work properly for me.
