I've renewed norton antivirus but before that when it tells you to rwenew it and says about how many threats it blocked during the year, I was shocked at how many there was. It was about 750,000 threats it had blocked... has anyone else had this many threats.. its crazy.!

Norton is bad.

750,000 threats. I wouldn't be surprised. Out of the many customers that use it and the fact that Norton indentifies anything installed on your computer a threat unless you tell it not. Annoying and pointless.

Norton's crap, there are a lot of better programs out there for checking for viruses and spyware

Norton fucked up my computer twice, so we switched to McAfee, which is ok i guess.

Eh, I hate Norton. I have Avast and ZoneAlarm Anti-Spyware, ZoneAlarm acts as a firewall and Avast immediately asks you what to do when it detects adware, viruses, or spyware.

I'm not allowed to log onto my campus' network without Norton installed.

I think both Norton and McAfee are crap, personally. I use AVG, it works for me.

I would use AVG, but it won't work on my computer, something corrupts it.

Yay. Avast is good, and ZoneAlarm is good too ;o

Although personally I don't use an antivirus at all. I'm smart enough to avoid them ;)

Tip: Anything that's 857KB on any P2P program is a virus/trojan ;)

SCS is the best out of them all, however.

Yeah. I don't know how many times I had to fix computers with the 857kb virus >.<. I like Norton but it was a bitch for me to install. I had a bad virus on my computer and surprisingly Norton was the only virus scanner that was able to get it out. My most favorite one is NOD32. In suites I like McAfee. The firewall is a lot easier to use.

I'm using Panda right now... seems decent.

I don't know. I don't download stuff really, so I really only need a firewall or whatever.

Used to use Norton; I thought it used to be okay. A couple years ago. Now it's just stupid and annoying.
