I'm tan, but I think pale is nice. It's 50/50 for me...paleness works on some people. But then some others look sickly...so yeah, it's half-and-half.

Really depends on the person. I like white people to be white, not cook their skin to produce more melanin. And I hate it when blacks chemically alter their skin tone to be lighter. So I like whatever looks/is natural on a person.

I really hate that too, with a passion. This one girl that is signed to the same modeling agency as me used to be me complexion (dark-skinned) and now shes a carmel-complexion. But some black people act like being my complexion is a curse, I hate closed-minded people like that. Like when its sunny outside they say 'oh, I'm not going outside today because I dont want to get 'black' ''

Yeah, I mean... if you work outside or play outdoor sports, it's natural. I doubt people play soccer or garden purely for the tan. I just disagree with people sitting in lawn chairs for hours at a time trying to get a tan, or going to a tanning salon. Eek.

I hate tans 100%. I don't care who you are. I think they look horrible on everyone.

Agreed. I worked an amusement park at the beach this summer so I was out in the sun way more than usual. One of my coworkers told me, "Wow, you look way darker than you did in May. You look way too black." The hell? I'm beginning to think this chick doesn't know that I am black... I've heard girls say they avoid the sun so not to look more 'black' and I really wish she wouldn't act like it's such a curse.

A natural tan looks nicer than pale skin, depending on your hair colour etc. Fake tans often don't look good and are too obvious.

Real tans look good, but I hate sprayed tan stuff. Pale is the best though.

I really like fair complexion, but you can only pull it odd withflawless skin.
But tan complexions are nice too, if they're an exotic brown hue and not the fake bake orange one.

In-between for me. I myself am fair skinned and have dark eyes and dark hair, and I get complemented on my looks a lot, so don't go thinking being fair skinned is ugly, or tanned skin for that matter, jesus unless it's the whole "fake and bake", that's just gross.. and orange.
