I recently baught what i thought were bobby pins. I opened them up and realized they were hair pins. I have no idea how to use them, is there some way to use them like bobby pins? Any tips would be appreciated. thank you.

yer hair pins are differnt to bobby pins and you can't really use them for the same thing. Those type of hair pins you can mainly use for when you want to do something with your hair when its up. X

Well typically hair pins are used to hold your hair in an up do, or in a bun. Bobby pins are easier to work with though, because they aren't opened all the way.

I've always called those anchor pins, and nah, you can't really use 'em like bobby pins...

I use anchor pins to pin hair into an updo or bun. That's actually about all they are good for, and you can use bobby pins for that just as easily, really -- so bobbies are much more useful...

hair pins are for updos. You can bend them and twist them to make the hair sit the way you want it bobby pins are more for keeping hair in place.
