i have that mascara purely because i needed it in a hurry and didn't have time to get the one i usualy get, but i think it works alright for sort of cheaper stuff. You have to make sure that you clean the brush when it gets all dirty, thats what usually causes clumps, or like the above person said it might be to old. With the eyeliner, yer just sharpen it.

that site tells you how to do smokey eyes.

and as for your foundation its obviously not the right color so you'll probably have to buy new ones that are darker shades, but once i bought a powder that was to pale for my skin and i just used bronzer on top to make my skin look darker and that worked fine, so you could just buy some bronzer.
anyway hope i also helped a little bit. X

I wouldn't use foundation all over, it generally does give a sort of fakish look, so just use it in trouble spots, like under-eyes or zits. As for powder, only use it on places you need it.

With mascara, try wiping the brush on a tissue before applying any, and use a good makeup remover to get it all off at night, so it doesn't build up and look gross.

Eyeliner. For a natural look (for school, work, etc.), use dark brown and dot in between your top lashes. For a more "done" look, as you line across your eye, instead of trying to draw one straight line, do it in a few small sections, sweeping the liner out-ward. Then smudge it A LITTLE with your finger. A plain, sharp line looks cheesy and fake.

Hope I helped a little.

I use powder and maybe something with a peachy tone would look nice on your skin.

First of all, the only thing I agree with in this answer was "you are using really old stuff" because that could be why. Also, maybe your eyelashes are too full to use XXL mascara, therefore because the mascara is so thick, your lashes stick.
Other than that, you must ensure your eyelashes are free from yesterdays mascara, so clean them and make sure that they are. Then it should go on alright. Just apply one layer too!
As for the bottom lashes, I always do my bottom lashes, nobody said you werent supposed to! Just be more light handed, and again, only apply one layer.

For foundation, darker tones will not make any difference, it wil make you look fake.
There are a few good brands currently doing a funky foundation which adapts to your skin tone, so find a shade thats closest to yours, if not, then a slight shade darker (if your trying to cover pimples etc) and get a similar shade of powder to lock the foundation colour. If you find your foundation is patchy then put a bit of water, or moisturiser to the aplicator pad and go over your foundation. this is to be done before the powder obviously.

Your eyeliner wil apply easier if it is either sharp, or in liquid form, again, better brands wil give you better results but if you cant afford to spend a lot then get a cheaper alternative ensuring the applicator is quite thin. Thicker ends give thicker lines.
I actually use a brush by Cosmopolitan, its a flat ended makeup brush, which is very firm. You apply liquid eyeliner to it and draw it along your eyeline above your eyelashes and it gets you a good finish.

Eyeliner should be applied first, BEFORE eyeshadow, and then a wet cotton bud to make the line a bit smudged and less harsh helps to create the smoky look.

Smoky looks can be acheived really easily, again you'll need some good makeup applicators, and 2 or 3 shades of colour.
One should be as close to the colour of your skin as possible. That is not an essential, you could use a shade of white or cream, will also need a dark shade, black possibly, and a shade in between.
With a soft brush (or a little sponge applicator), fill your entire eyelid area with the light colour. then 2/3rds into your eyelid apply the in between colour (grey?) to the end of your lid, and the black in the last 3rd.
Only then should you apply eyeliner to your inner eyeline, and your mascara should be applied last.

Hope I helped I really thought about this one lol :):Dxx.

for foundation try l'oreal true match powder because that stuff is great, and when you get a tan it adapts to your skin colour (usually) so you can stay with the same colour all year round, and who says you can't wear mascara on your bottom eyelashes, just as long as it isn't tons it looks fine
