well I have to get braces

uhm, im getting the kind that you cant really see (ceramics)

but if i get braces im scared ill look ugly and guys will think im gross or something.

i really dont want them but i will only need them for a year. so thats good

but i dont want to look gross or anything

and i dont want braces to affect my chances with certain guys.

If they can't be seen, how would they do that?

I got braces a month ago today and I dont mind them too much..I have a boyfriend&he said id be a loser if i had to get them [jokingly-i think] and now he likes them .. If it does effect any chances with a guy then theyre not worth it!.

At one point he will have or has had braces, most likely.

well i've recently got braces and they're perfectly fine, plus it will help u get guys b/c they know ur getting ur teeth fixed unlike some girls and then a plus side is you'll have a great smile and teeth in the end

Well, I've had braces for the last 5 years. Yeah, it sucks, but most people don't say a word about it. For the first week or so, they'll be like, "wow, you got braces!" lol. but it will pass (I've had them twice, I would know.) But I do have one friend thats like, "omg! Braces are so cool. It's like jewelry for your teeth!" lol. She is a little 'out there' though.

Haha they're worth it in the end so fuck what any guy wants to say about them..

i dont mind braces, but you can cut your lips on them making out...

yo i have bracess and they hurt but itz all worth it in the end im 13 amd i've had em for a year now and i have the metal kind and it has changed my life and itll all be ok juss go and get them if u need them

yea yea the orthodontist SAYS u will only need them for a year but truthfully it will turn into 2 years, then 3, then 4, trust me i know. 6 Years later i am free!! lol but they aren't as bad as everyone thinks, honestly the retainer u wear afterwords is worse.

I think braces are hot on girls. <3 braces. My ex-girlfriend had braces.

I have had braces 2 years now and am getting them off very soon

lol! I know what you mean! But they didn't tell me how long I was supposed to have mine. They just said that it was going to cost $3000... But that turned into $6000... And it will probably go up when I have to get a retainer and stuff.

They make you look worse.

to be honest, when i first had to get braces i was so mad. i thought i would hate them. and now, im going to get them off in like a week, and im scared what im gunna look like without them. braces arent that bad, seriously.

braces aren't a big deal. i had them for two years and never had any problem with boys. everyone said that once they got used to seeing them on me they didn't even notice.

i have regular braces and i dont have a problem with guys.and wat is gross about braces.

You can still sorta see the ceramic ones. I don't think that they look worse than regular braces. I had them.

With ceramic braces if your going for the less noticable look you'll probably wnat clear band but the clear and white ones actually stain with food making them look more noticable and tacky so if your not getting a color than get silver bands. You can't see them even with the clear brackets and they don't stain.

i've had braces for almost two years.

the same number of guys still flirt with me but i don't get as many boyfriends. that happens to alot of the girls i know though. the same amount of people flirt with them but they don't actually get "hit-on" until they get them off.

i'm getting them off the first week of school though so i won't have to worry about it anymore.

anyway what does it matter? guys are not that special and if they don't date you as much so what? i just means you've weeded out the stupid ones

i have the ceramic type and they r ok but dont eat any yellow foods or they will turn a gross brown colour...lol
