Okay, nevermind, it's a hideous dress and you need to lose serious weight. I hope G'd smites you and your friend.

ew. that dress is:
-inappropriate and insulting to wear into a temple
-too formal for a dressy cas. party
-too ugly for cocktail attire
-too casual for a black tie
-unflattering to your underarm bulge
and last but not least...

It's sort of too formal for a bar mitzvah, but cute. It's like a prom dress.

Yah. It's pretty. But, too formal.

I like the style, but the colour is fairly icky, like borderline 'grandma country rose'.

I have no idea what is or isn't appropriate for a Bar Mitvah. In any case, I love the dress - I'd wear it to a Uni Ball or something.

No offense but it's beynd ugly and you have the wrong body type, you're way to fat to be wearing a strapless dress. and it looks like you bought it at walmart. i wouldnt use that to wipe my dog's ass.

okay guys you are being a little cruel. the dress is cute. the color is good for her skin tone and the fit is actually right for her. i do agree that it is not appropriate for a bar mitzvah, i would wear it to Homecoming. i wouldnt wear mostly because i dont have enough to hold up a strapless dress. and those of you who say she shouldnt wear strapless dresses are probably too fat to wear them too and just want to hurt somebody else because you cant wear anything cute. and you also dont need to lose any weight at all.

I think you're just trying to hide the fact that you're Jewish.
Not your friend.
And that dress is absolutely hideous.

She looks a little older than 12, I might be mistaken, though.
Appropriate attire for a bar/bat mitzvah - something with straps. Something not extremely pinky orange. Something not so revealing. Maybe a knee length skirt, a dressy top, a pretty, done up hairdo. Wearing a dress like hers to a bat mitzvah would be like wearing it to someone's first communion or a baby's baptizing.
I think everyone is being a bit harsh, really. I was on the recieving end of her bitchiness and I really didn't feel the need to(well, seriously, I mean) call her fugly and stupid and fat as hell and shit like that. She had absolutely no manners, but her disappearence from her own thread has shown us something.

If it's a reformed synagogue (spelling?), then it's perfectly fine. If it's not, and is more conservative, I would suggest covering up a bit more.
I think it's a cute dress, however, I have seen thousands upon thousands like it. I think it is very flattering on you really. I'm not fond of the color, but it looked good against your skin.

NO ITS NOT! my synogague is wayy reformed and you will be kicked out of the sanctuary faster than you can say mazeltov for not covering your shoulders that blatantly. its disrespectful and she will look like an ignorant fool.
and its also inappropriate for any afterparty for reasons you can see in my previous posts.

that's rude and ignorant to assume she's hiding her religion. why should anyone be ashamed of what they believe, particularly judaism as you said? why would that be something to hide? you should be proud of your religion no matter what it is.

Well, sxyglamorgirl. That would be your synogague. I've seen worse at my cousin's. I would imagine that like all things, it varies from one to another. But most the ones I've ever been to or my mother, (as she was raised jewish.) it's just fine.
