What, you expected something else from me?

Anyway. This thread's obviously for those who love pizza to discuss whatever they wish to about the best food to grace this planet. Discuss favorite restaurants, recipes, toppings, etcetera. =)

I may post a recipe later. I dunno. I'm really lazy at the moment.

I can't live without a thick crust. Thin crust to me is like eating decorated cardboard. I'm a pretty simple guy where toppings are concerned; I enjoy meats and cheeses, and not too many of them usually. My favorite restaurant is probably Pizza Hut, though I've been patronizing Little Caesar's as of late ($5 pizza is always awesome).

Can't wait until this weekend. I'm trying to get my parents to eat at a new place in town called Boston's. Has interactive trivia and stuff too. =D

mmm thick soft crust + extra pineapple= perfection

granted, the pineapple to cheese ratio must be at least 50/50

Me and my friends discovered that a great pizza contains:

Cheese string cheese melted.
Tomartos from those squezy tubes.
Tuna
Mayo.

It sounds horible but it is actually really nice, which is really saying something cause I hate mayo and Tuna.

mmmmm...

pizza is yummy! :D

i :pink: pizza!

i found this ( it sounds yummy!):

Homemade Pizza Recipe

This recipe makes a thick crust cookie sheet sized pizza.

(Serves 4 to 6)

Ingredients:

2 cups milk
2 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons margarine
2 packages active dry yeast
4 cups flour
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2/3 cup of pizza sauce
16 ounces grated mozzarella cheese
11" x 17" cookie sheet
toppings, optional

Directions:

Combine milk, sugar, and margarine in a large saucepan. Heat to lukewarm. Remove from heat. Add yeast and stir to dissolve. In a large bowl combine flour, salt, and baking soda. Then add the liguid with the yeast to the flour mixture until well blended. (You may have to add more flour to the mixture if it is to sticky.) Knead on a floured surface until smooth, about 1 minute. Let rest (keep covered) for 10 minutes. Pat out dough onto greased 11" x 17" cookie sheet. Make a nice crust around the edges of the cookie sheet. Spread with the pizza sauce, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Add any toppings that you want at this time. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. This makes 8 sicilian sized slices.

Serves 4 to 6 = Serves one very damn hungry Nightwish. Anyway. That recipe looks like it could be fun stuff. I may just try it; it's not like I'm hurting for cash or ingredients. Thanks for the recipe. In reality, this is little more than my effort to steal everyone's recipes. >.>

Oh. Jenn, every time you put pineapple on a pizza, an Italian-American dies. :sadshake: I've tried it once, and it was on thin crust, so I didn't care for it.

*nods* We do this at my place too. Probably because I insist on watching no matter who plays and because I insist on pizza.

I can't let the tradition die just because of college. Screw that; I'm finding an oven for the game. >.>

Yeah, I bet it was gross. I never liked baked beans without the additional toppings. I really am sorry. Pizza should not be blasphemed against in that way.

I'd visit (if I could), but I'd take your word on the pizza. I don't need a demonstration. :)

No weird toppings for me.. PLAIN CHEESE PIZZA.

Extra cheese. No vegetables whatsoever. I won't get near a pizza that has vegetables in it. Pizza Hut is good..But it is nothing when compared to Papa John's. Best. Pizza. Ever.

ham cheese and pineapple..the best pizza you could possibly stomache!
YES!!! the best evr!!! (one of them anyway...)
but my all time favorite is the "ultimate warrior", i got this in Puccini's. this one is the best ever.
i like my pizzas to be hot and spicy, and dark and stuff. if they are those frozen pizzas, then they have to be still melted, not as hard as the rest of my family likes, which is completely cooked. i like my frozen pizzas to be cooked just enough that all the cheese is melted, but it is still soft, not on those hard thin crusts. although they are somewhat easier to eat if the crust is harder...
if the pizza is from a restaurant or takeout or something, then it has to have lots of spices, and thicker drust. and of course, hot. all the toppings on it will make softer, and beter. it will also look a little darker than the pizza from pizza hut. i love pizza hut, but i like my pizza somewhat darker than it looks. pizza hut pizza is similar to how i eat my frozen pizzas.
when i was a little kid, my parents used to make homemade pizza all the time. it was so good, and they used to let me make my own little bitty mini pizzas that were about 5 inches max. they would make it with lots and lots of pineapples.
now, my mom makes these big "pizza bombs" that were so big, and it would take me about 2 days eat it. and that is saying something.

Domino's has a better crust, but Pizza Hut has better toppings. If only the awesomeness of both were combined...

Well, Pizza Hut stuffed crust is to die for, and Domino's has none. Damn, they lose again.

The last time I had Papa John's, it was complete ass. I don't know if that was a one-time thing or not. Hopefully it was a one-time deal because their pizza normally kicks ass.

I think I should start posting in this thread, considering I part-time manage at a pizza place.

Anyway at work when I get bored I experiment with dough/toppings etc.. Recently I've working on my pineapple flavoured dough which substitutes some of the water in the batch for pineapple juice. I haven't quite got the ratios just right yet, but it's interesting.

Pineapple pizza is awesome. =)

Oh, and I did get my Boston's pizza. Silly father asked if we thought Burger King would be good. He then took us across the street. Sneaky. >.> But yeah, Boston's has good pizza, even if it IS a bit greasy. The sauce = to die for.

So this guy came in today and ordered a supreme with double everything. He was willing to pay like $15 for his pizza, so I laughed.

It looked so bad. There was like 1½ inches of topping, and he had it on a classic thin base. It needed 3 minutes of extra cooking.
