Hey this is a poem that is related to me

The whole “invisibility thing”…
Yeah
I’m done with it
I’m someone
I should be recognized as someone
not as a target
for abuse
for slander
so that other people feel better
about themselves
I will be recogized as a person
whose morals are good
but does what she wants
not always what she should
I’m just a girl
just someone
who likes to be seen
as someone
who understands who they are
and where they stand
I don’t want to be
what they call cool
I want to be me and
Ya know what?
maybe do well in school
if they don’t like that
if they think it’s uncool
I really don’t care
let them be the fool
they can have their hoochie tops
hidden beer cans
and energy soda pops
and I’ll have
my individuality
my artistry
and what makes me “me”
Live with it!
I don’t want to be anybody else
Stop trying to make me “you”
and let me be “me”

i actually enjoyed the meaning throughout it. i love the point of view it is written from and the sad somber setting that is sensed throughout it. the words are a bit weak, but still doesnt make you lose too much interest.
