Do you toast your poptarts or just eat them as they are?

I usually eat them as they are unless they are nasty, thats when i toast them to take away some of the taste.

I don't know what a pop tart is:(
I don't think we have them over here, but on like American and Canadian tv shows I always hear people talking about them, lol.

I eat them just the way they are. Toasting them makes the filling inside of them nasty and the poptart falls apart mush easier. I like to eat food that can stand being eaten every few seconds with out falling apart on me.

Ahh, you poor tea-sippers, you are missing out.

I eat mine without toasting most of the time, unless of course it's the S'Mores variety which makes it ten times better.

PhantomLights
06-24-2006, 03:38 PM
Why are we tea-sippers? I don't know many people who drink tea, I think it's an inaccurate stereotype.

Anyway, they look ok, I think I have seen them in the U.K just no one likes them.

Tea > Poptarts

Tea > Poptarts
Good job aiding the stereotype.

Are you sure the UK doesn't like poptarts? Your guys' teeth would typically suggest otherwise.

The "tea > poptarts" was a joke, I'm sure your poptarts are great, and you can't really say I'm aiding the stereotype considering the first sentance.

And I don't know anything about the teeth thing, if you want to explain it fair enough.

A lot of British folks (at least, from what I've seen) have really bad teeth, possibly because of your fixation with sugar, I'm not sure.

And whether or not it was a joke, you aided the stereotype by praising tea, even after you said you don't know anybody in the UK who drinks tea, which is surprising since you folks have a meal called TEA TIME. Do you just not know many people at all?

PhantomLights

Tea is just the third meal of the day, you can also call it dinner. It may be a stupid name for it seeing as it doesn't usually involve tea, but that's what it is.

Fixation with sugar, again never heard that, feel free to explain.

And as far as I know, it is common practice in the U.K to brush your teeth twice a day and visit a dentist every six months, maybe it's different in the U.S?

What made you doubt that?

Where are you from? I take it either Germany (username and title) or U.S.A, not sure. I honestly don't believe those stereotypes were very accurate, it's probably the same with all stereotypes though, they're not meant to be taken too seriously. Sorry if I sound like I’ve been living under a rock and know nothing about the U.K, but I go to a typical English school and know typical English kids. My observation would be that English people are becoming more and more American, I’m sure it won’t be long before we are eating poptarts, no English people really follow the stereotype anymore.

You don't seem to know about tea time, which is consumed in the afternoon, dinner following, at least according to my English friends and relatives.

And me, I'm actually from Canada.

I have to admit I know nothing about tea time, I'm sure you're right about that, I just call the meals: Breakfast, lunch and tea, dinner would be after those.

Off topic, are you from the Toronto area? Because I'm going there next spring.
