Yeah, but there was a time when all comic book movies were terrible. Eventually, one great film will show everyone else the incredible value the licenses of these games possess. I have faith that Halo will be the one, because of the beautiful storyline.

No, Mario was ok... DOOM on the other hand blew even if it was a stand alone film.
dude if your gonna start a thread on a movie, atleast bother to IMDB the fucking thing. they've HAD a director for months now, it's Guellermo Del Toro, the guy behind The Devil's Backbone, a fantastic little ghost story from spain, and Blade 2, a corny but strangley enticing action movie, and of course Hellboy, the most high-budget fan-film ever.
anyway, i have total faith in this film, fantastic director, fantastic script, fantastic producers and they're keeping the orchestra who did the brilliant score for the game in the movie. this film is gonna be great, mark my words.

ME NO SEE HALO
i looked it up, apparently he's walked off the project :-\. i dunno what jackson is doing, the only other director i can think of to do this film justice is Ridley Scott, who with Gladiator and Blackhawk Down as well as Alien under his belt, is perfect, as those three movies put together are basically halo. however he has said that the work of Uwe Boll and alike has turned him off video game films as a rule, so i dont think he'll do it.

dare i mention alone in the dark lol
no no Boll wont do it, Peter Jackson wants to make Halo the first credible video game film, and he knows asking Boll to do it will end that. besides, Boll only does films with his production company because his company is actually a front for curropt german business, so there is no worries about him touching Halo, he only has the rights to failed and unpopular video game titles for a reason.
