Hey, I absolutely love vaseline and it's really cheap. Here are some of my main uses for it -
1. It can be used on dry and chapped lips to leave them soft and kissable
2. You can put it on your elbows and knees to moisturise them as these are the dryest parts of our body
3. If you put it on your hands and feets before you go to bed and then put cotton socks on them you will wake up with unbelievably soft hands and feet.
4. If you run out of shaving creme you can use vaseline. This can be use on your underarms, legs and even 'down there'. Guys can use it for their faces too.
5. If you put it under your eyes before you go to sleep it will get rid of your dark circle. This really works well as I used to have really bad dark circles under my eyes and I tried loads of different products but this is the one that works the best.
6. If you put it around your eyes it's meant to prevent you from getting wrinkles.
7. If you've got stray, flyaway eyebrows you should put a slick of vaseline on them before you go to bed and when you wake up they will stay perfectly in place.
8. Also if you put them on your eyelashes it's meant to make them curl up nicely.
9. You can also use it as a mascara if your mascara runs out.
10. If your hair has really dry ends you can put vaseline on it to soften it.
11. If you get nail polish on your fingers when you are painting them, put vaseline on the bits that surround the nail and this will stop you getting nail polish on them.
12. My school nurse also says it helps to relive thrush if you put it on 'down there'. I can't say if this works as I've never actually tried it .....

Thats all I can think of for the now but there are many more so I'll keep updating. If anyone else can think of more please post them!

If your a sports person, and you get blisters then put it on, then bandaid over it.
I play soccer with some people about everyday of the week, I don't get blisters but everyone that I know did, has tried this and it makes it a lot better It helps them heal and not hurt so much.

vaseline in the magic product

11. It can be used to remove eye make-up.

12. It can be used to lube-up legs when globbed on before rugby to prevent getting scratched when tackled...it also makes the tackler slip off, which is nice.

8. Also if you put them on your eyelashes it's meant to make them curl up nicely.
9. You can also use it as a mascara if your mascara runs out.

Also, if you use mascara every day, epsecially waterproof mascara, it can really dry you eyelashes out.
So at night, when you remove your makeup, put the vaseline on your lashes...
Then in the morning your mascara will glide on smoothly and your lashes won't dry out.:)
And I love the idea of this thread.
It is so fucking random.

If I get a shaving cut I put a bit of vaseline over the top of it and it stops it dripping until its dry enough to put a bandaid on.

I've done this too! It works great.. kind of like one of those ointments used for cuts anyway!

I got a cream version of Vaseline and I use it on my legs as a lotion when they get dry and it works so great! It's easier to spread too.

I've also heard about using it on your hairline when dying your hair.. luckily without doing this I've never stained my face, but it's a great idea if your dye does that to you!

I love to put Vaseline on my feet at night to condition my heels or any dry parts.

We get it, you wrestle. Honestly, I don't get why you're so god damn proud of being able to beat other people up. It doesn't take any brains, in fact, it takes lack of brains, because only an idiot would put himself in a situation were he could get fisically injured for the fucking fun of it. Dumbass, stop bragging about it, it's not that great.

Fighting is actually a very intellectualy sport. You have to know the mechanics of using time, angle, and leverage.

Fighting encompasses knowing how to:

*Stand up*

punch, counter punch, kick, check a kick, throw elbows, duck unders, slips, clinch, strike from the clinch position, defend a takedown from the clinch position, being able to take someone there, get away from the clinch position

*wrestling*
pummel in the clinch position, shoot on the legs of an opponent, reverse a takedown, Use leverage to get a high amplitude slam

*Grappling*
get to a nuetral position from a disadvantageous position, get to a dominant position from a nuetral position, end a fight with a submission from gaurd(nuetral) or a mount (dominant), Ground and Pound and opponent, use elbows both vertically and horizontaly.

There are about 40-50 submission holds in Fighting that work.
A submission is defined as:

"a combat sports term for yielding to the opponent, and hence resulting in an immediate defeat. The submission is commonly performed by clearly tapping the floor or the opponent with the hand or sometimes with the foot, to signal the opponent and possibly the referee of the submission. The submission can also be verbal, during which the fighter verbally informs that he is giving up."

Depending on the combat sport, submissions usually occur when:

The fighter has suffered an injury and decides not to continue.

Example: The corner throws in the towel during the break between rounds in boxing when the fighter has suffered a broken rib.

The fighter is put in a pinning hold and cannot escape.

Example: The fighter submits in judo sparring maches when he is put in an inescapable pinning hold such as the kata gatame.

The fighter is put in a submission hold, and submits to avoid injury or losing consciousness.

Example: The fighter is put in an keylock or an armbar in shoot wrestling.

The opponent is clearly superior, and the fighter wants to avoid disgrace or possible damage or injury.

The opponent is effectively and overwhelmingly striking, and the fighter submits to avoid being knocked out or injured.

Example: The fighter has been mounted by the opponent in a mixed martial arts competition, and is subject to overwhelming ground and pound.

A couple of Submissions I can think of right now are:

Achilles lock: A compression lock on the achilles tendon.
Americana: BJJ term for a lateral keylock.
Anaconda choke: A type of arm triangle choke.
Ankle lock: A leglock which hyperextends the ankle.
Armbar: An armlock which hyperextends the elbow.
Armlock: A general term for joint locks at the elbow or shoulder.
Arm triangle choke: A chokehold similar to the triangle choke except using the arms.
Bear hug: A clinching hold encircling the opponent's torso with both arms, pulling toward oneself.
Bicep slicer: A compression lock on the bicep.
Can opener: A type of neck crank.
Chicken wing: Term for various hammer/keylocks, especially among Shoot wrestling and Jeet Kune Do practitioners.
Collar tie: facing the opponent with one or both hands on the back of their head/neck.
Cradle: Compress opponent in a sit-up position to pin shoulders from side mount.
Crosschoke: Athlete crosses own arms in "X" shape and holds onto opponent's gi or clothing.
Crucifix: A type of neck crank.
Figure four: Term for arranging one's own arm or legs to resemble shape of numeral "4" when holding opponent.
Flying armbar: A type of armbar that is performed from a stand-up position.
Grapevine: twisting limbs around limbs in a manner similar to a plant vine.
Guillotine choke: a facing headlock or choke, usually applied to an opponent from above.
Hammerlock: Pins the opponent's arm behind the back, with wrist toward their own shoulder.
Heel hook: A leglock which rotates the ankle.
Juji-Gatame: A type of armbar where the arm is held in between the legs.
Keylock: A shoulderlock where the arm is turned like a key.
Kimura: BJJ term for a medial keylock.
Kneebar: A leglock which hyperextends the knee.
Leglock: A general term for joint locks at the hip, knee or ankle.
Leg scissors: Causes compressive asphyxia by pressing the chest or abdomen.
Leg slicer: A compression lock on the calf and thigh.
Neck crank: Applies pressure to the neck by pulling or twisting the head.
Nelson: (quarter, half, three-quarter and full): The arm is circled under the opponent's arm, and secured at the neck.
Omoplata: BJJ shoulder lock using the legs.
Overhook: Holding over the opponents arm while standing.
Rear naked choke: A chokehold from the rear.
Scissor: places the opponent between the athlete's legs (like paper to be cut by scissors).
Small joint manipulation: Joint locks on the fingers or toes. (illegal in organized fighting)
Spine crank: Applies pressure to the spine by twisting or bending the body.
Stack: Compress opponent in vertical sit-up position (feet up) to pin their shoulders to mat.
Toe hold: A type of leglock which hyperextens the ankle.
Triangle choke: A chokehold which forms a triangle around the opponent's head using the legs.
Twister: A type of body bend and neck crank.
Wristlock: A general term for joint locks on the wrist or radioulnar joint.Wristlocks form the trademark submissions in catch wrestling.

A woman answers the door to a market researcher. "Good morning madam, I'm doing some research for Vaseline. Do you use it at all in your household?"
"Oh yes, all the time. It's very good for cuts, grazes and burns."
"Do you use it for anything else?"
"Like what?"
"Ahem.. err.. well.. during.. ahem.. sex."
"Oh, of course. Yes, I smear it on the bedroom doorknob to keep my husband out!"
