Not that many horror re-makes are as good as the originals.. :/ I love the original.

But i'll probably go see the re-make anyway.

I think its gonna be sick. They could have done better with the demon designs though.

I thought the original was fine, but I will surely be in the cinema the day it comes out.

However, from the previews it seems like a replica of the original but with different actors. The scenes were exactly the same, the dialouge was exactly the same, and even the camera angles were the same (from what the preview showed).
I'll just have to wait and see it.

Like John Moore said, it's basically bringing the story up to date. Why fuck with the story when you can just modernise it?
I quite like the look of it and I think it's more than likly that I will be in on the first day.

i just hate the lack of originality in mainstream movies.

I really don't give a shit about lack of originality, as long as I find the film worth my time I see no problem... The remake of the posiedon adventure looks decent, more than likely it will be better than the original so I see no problem.
Admitedly I don't think The Omen will live up to the original but I do think it will be a decent film, it has a good cast at the very least...

yeh i think nearly all the cast or the casts family where dying and their deaths were related to what they did in the film. Coz there was one man who created the beheading scene and i think the chrashed into the back of a glass lorry and his passenger got beheaded by the glass just like in the film and wen the dude got out the car the sign above him said 666 miles to omen. how freaky lol but i still love that it cumin out on the 6.6.6 lol hehehe

Gregory Peck and David Seltzer, the writer, were both in planes struck by lightning. Peck almost got on another plane which crashed. Richard Donners hotel was blown up by the IRA and a special effects man's girlfriend was decapitated in a car wreck near Ommen, not near a sign saying 666 miles from it though...

The original will probably be better. I hate when Hollywood remakes the movies and makes them crap.

I really love the original! :) I'm not too sure that the re-make will be that great.. No one can be as good as the first boy who played Damien.
