I've never *honestly* seen a good horror flick. Ever.
I'm terrified of clowns so when I first saw IT and SAW, a certain scene or two scared the living hell out of me..

Then you haven't seen The Shining.

Psycho(without Hitchcock, there wouldn't be a slasher genre.)
Texas Chainsaw Massacre(the original and the remake...forget the rest ever happened.)
Nightmare on Elm Street(same rule applies here)
Final Destination 2
The Shining
House on Haunted Hill(the Vincent Price version...)
House of Wax(another one where the Price version is good...)
What Lies Beneath
Halloween(proof that the music in a movie can actually be scarier than anything happening on the screen)

You have a Devil's Rejects avatar, that was a great horror film.
Anyway, some of my favorites are The Evil Dead, Ju-On, The Devil's Backbone and the original TCM.

Night of the Living Dead, Silent Hill (it... well... it looked pretty. A mix of the Brothers Quay and Dali.), Evil Dead II, and Kubrick's The Shining.
Am I the only person who liked the TV mini-series version of The Shining better than Kubrick's?
Nope. *Teenspot's resedent Kubrick H8turrr*

Films like The Grudge and The Ring are perhaps the scariest, but my favourite is Romero's Day of the Dead. I think.

I've got to say The Shining, Carrie, Candyman, Psycho, The Birds, Saw, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre series, Friday the 13th series, Halloween series, The Exorcist, The Amityville Horror (both old and new) and ... probably more but I can't think of them right now ...

I really wanna see Hostile. That kind of shit scares me. Not stuff that can't happen. Also Saw was my far favoite movie.

:pink: :pink: the ring and dark water
it's called Hostel, not Hostile, and it sucked, especially if you liked Saw.
anyway, it isnt horror in the strictest sense, but a favorite of mine is Unbreakable. easily M. Night Shyamalan's best film.

I don't really find anything very scary, though I do love these suspense films:
The Shining
Rosemary's Baby
Ju-On
IT (havent seen it for a while but Pennywise freaked me out as a child).
