I have a bad case of bacne, how can I get rid of it? I use normal soap, but it doesn't help.

i used to have the same problem but i went to my doctors and he gave me pills to take once a day and it's really helped now all i have on my back are the scars but that should go away soon also, but im still afraid to wear tanktops because im afraid people will see it and get grossed out :(

But I'm looking for a solution that doesn't involve the doctor.

The fact of the matter is, if you have a real problem with acne (not just spots), there are no topical (applied to the face) products that are going to get rid of it. You need to speak to your GP about prescription medicines.
In addition, you might want to consider using an additional cream based cleanser as well as your face wash / soap. Cream cleansers are more balancing, whereas soaps simply strip the top layer of oil from your face which your body then works hard to replace, leading to further spots. Also, just because your skin is oily doesn't mean you shouldn't moisturise. Find a light moisturiser that suits you. Dry skin actually makes spots worse too.
Look for products containing bisabolol (an extract of chamomile) which has healing properties. Tea tree oil is meant to be good for spots too (although I'm not a big fan) because it's anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and anti-viral.
