Michael Corleone is a seductive anti-hero. He has the kind of power every man might desire, but it came at a price that no right-thinking man wants to pay. His grasps at power isolate him from his wife, children, society, brothers and sister, and from God. For me, the Confession scene is the scariest part of the three movies; He only half confesses and can't go any further because he doesn't want to repent, love, and trust in the goodness and mercy of God.
More men than will admit to it, watch the movie with a sinking feeling that they are the Michel Corleones of their world.
