South Park... Eric Cartman can do a one man show given the chance , even if its 30mins of him doing his one liners

South Park, 100%!

Although, i disagree with DarthKinky. If the show was *just* Cartman, it would get pretty pointless and stupid fast.

it would be between south park and simpsons for me

i would say south park coz they get away with more stuff than the simpsons, like for the love of god Brazil tried to sue them for homer being kiddnaped in a barzilian taxi in one episode!

when south park can get away with killing off one of its main characters every week in the most disgusting ways possible :D lol

I honestly don't see how these three can even be put in the same league. People seem to always put them in the same category and list them together in these "which do you like better?" boards. There's really no comparison.

I mean, i do love the Simpsons and Futurama. But none of them even come close to anything like South Park.. other than that they're all cartoons that are geared toward older audiences.

Those other shows are funny, and make their little jokes throughout the episode.. but they don't have the depth of South Park. South Park really takes a look at real issues and satirizes different aspects of society. It's often relevant to current things in the news and such, and presents a different way of looking at it.

Cartman actually made a nice little speech on yesterday's new episode about "being compared to family guy" that is a lot like what i've always said about those sort of shows being compared... I'm sure a lot of people prefer those other shows' type of comedy, and that's cool, but i really don't see how they can be put in the same category as South Park. Family Guy, Simpsons, and Futurama are all very similar to one-another.. but South Park is something completely different.

I mean.. take yesterday's episode again. There were.. like... three or more different statements being made in the same storyline.. And they all flowed together into one. Family Guy was going to show muhammad on an episode, and everyone was afraid that the muslims would get mad. So, Cartman tries to go to Fox and get the episode pulled. Kyle tries to help him, because Cartman convinces him that it's not worth the riots they might cause. Then Kyle finds out that Cartman only wants it pulled because he hated being compared to Family Guy and wants the show off forever, not because he wants to prevent the riots. And Kyle realizes that free speech is important and that cartman just scared him into being against it. The episode was about: 1. Most obviously, the recent riots over the muhammad cartoon, and the issue of free speech involved there. 2. The way Comedy Central recently pulled a re-run of South Park's Scientology episode, because the scientologists got mad. See.. how Family Guy represents South Park, them putting muhammad on an episode represents how South Park struck a blow at scientology, and the Fox network pulling the episode of family guy represents Comedy Central pulling the episode of South Park. 3. How Family Guy is always compared to South Park.

Almost every episode is full of that kind of thing, when you really look past the whole "oh, talking poo and cussing.. that's so crude..." aspect. I really don't see how THAT always gets put in the same category as those others. Like i said, i love those other shows.. but they're in an altogether different league than South Park. South Park is one of the few shows on TV now that has actually made me give a lot of issues a second thought. A lot of people don't give it the credit it deserves in areas other than just those crude little cartoon kids saying funny things.

I know.

I'm just saying that i think they're cartoons that are in entirely different leagues. So it's hard to really compare south park to the other ones. They're good in different ways.
