Is it just me or does the networks make relaity shows, then rape the enjoyment out of them. American idol was loved the first time. after more then 3 seasons you need to understand....people dont like it anymore, you have raped the enjoyment out of it. Its just boring. I mean half of the singers who win have failed at their career. They never get a second label. Like that ruben guy...what ever happne dto him?..NOTHING
and Survivor, a great series..THE FIRST TIME. Then they raped th enjoyment out of it by reproducing it over 5 more times. It was horrible.

Agreed. Reality tv sucks. It's not even reality, it's all scripted.

hey .. dont u understand that american idols ratings are higher than ever before and not everyone saw it when it first came out.. if people didnt watch it then i am sure it would not have any other seasons. that would just make the networks lose money. im sorry u dont like it anymore but i still watch it .
also .. there is many famous american idol celebrities
think about carrie underwood she was the last winner.. and now she is a country music star..
and what about the others that became actresses/actors

omg I SO FUCKING AGREE! Like the first season, dare I say second, were pretty good compared to the latter season, they try to milk it for as much as they can, but end up sucking the cow dry and fucking mad
Like American Idol, They made a stereotype, Simon Powell: The "Harsh" One, Paula Abdul The "Senstive, Sweet" One, Rick The "Neutral" One, and they Over-Do The FUCK out of these given labels!

I know what you're saying. I'm not the biggest fan of so-called reality TV, but I do flip through channels and watch bits and pieces. It ends up adding up to a decent knowledge of different shows. I think one of the problems is that the network company people don't understand the idea that when something's fresh keep it going and when it gets old, let it drop.

To the rating comment-Ratings actually have little to nothing to do with how popular a show is, case in point there have been some very very lowly ranked shows by ratings that got the legs cut out from under them and now the people that did that are jobless for bad calls. There are two different parts that go into every single rating system and neither match up nor are the accurate. It's a very very complicated thing and I could break it down but it took up an hour of lecturing with graphes etc before I came even close to getting it but whatever. Plus it is nearly impossible for the networks to lose any money on reality a normal teacher could pay for a reality show with their paycheck they are so cheap it's sad....
Reality shows suck because they are cheap, no one even bothers to put more then a monkies thought into the premise and there is nothing reality about them.
