Omg.
Are you guys serious?
All those movies you listed were
crap and not even the least bit scary.

I've never had a nightmare over a movie
but these movies scared me while watching them.

My List.
Pet Semetary 1,2.
The Shining.
The Hills Have Eyes.
Rosemarys Baby.

When I was seven, my dad made the foolish mistake of giving into me when I said I could handle watching Hellraiser I, II and III in a row.

Aparently I had some very loud nightmares that night.

I completley agree.
The Shining and Pet Semetary.
The Hills Have Eyes is an awesome movie.
They're comming out with a remake.
It looks decent but the original is always better.

not always.

night of the living dead
evil dead

both remakes were better

Now now - let's not get silly.

The '68 Night Of The Living Dead pisses all over the remake.

All those movies are great, the Shining and Pet Semetary especially. Thats why it makes me upset that they did such a crappy job with "The Stand." It too could have been an excellent movie.. but noooo

I was four years old and I watched Ernest Scared Stupid, that troll scared the crap out of me, quite literally. I worried about him every night before I went to bed for about a year. I've gotten over that and now the effect of a horror movie ends once it's done, but I actually recently had a nightmare from Un Chien Andalou (1929). The scene where the guy slashes the woman's eye with a razor in an uncomfortably close shot. I cringe just thinking about it. The whole film kinda weirded me out, but that's great cinema.
