Just saw this film at the weekend and I've watched it again since.
I <3 this film so much. Good combination between martial arts and love story, does anybody else like it?
The only bit I didn't get was at the end when the girl jumped off the mountain.
Was that because the guy was being hunted by clans and they wished to be alone with each other in peace?

I love it too!! Yeah..I didn't quite understand the ending myself...too deep for my simple mind I guess....

The DVD I had didn't have subtitles. It was dubbed. Alrightish.
btw, the ending bit is because the young girl jumps off the mountain to come back in a later life to be with the guy in the desert.

saw it in the theatre when it came out a few years ago.

i don't see why people can't stand subtitles. dubbing ruins an experience. except in woody allen's case

That film was fucking class. And I understood it in chinese which was cool. Also the ending was suppose to be sad because everyone had died. She jumped off the mountain to prove her love to her lover, I think she said 'If I survive from jumping off this mountain, our love is true' something like that. My friend thinks she commits suicide but meh.
