does anyone know how getting a tattoo on your lower back would feel(right above your butt), my bf is taking me to get one for my 19 th bday in march and im really nervous.i would feel better actually knowing how it feels compared to not knowing to me not knowing would make it worse for me.thanks

well i got mine done there too..i don't want to scare you but i was told by the dude that thats the place the hurts the more(becasue of nerve ends..for girls at least)..but don't worry once the tattoo is done you don't feel anypain...but you do when getting it done..thats the ike!

In general places where the skin is close to the bone (eg. the top of the foot) are the places that will hurt more to get tattooed but it varies from person to person. Also please make sure that the tattooist knows exactly what you want and is credible.

i got a tatto on the right side of my lower back and i wanted to cry it hurt so bad. it doesnt really hurt that bad afterwards tho...and this is the same thing my tattoo artist told me...its better to get them on the side because then you can see them too...on the middle of your lower back you cant but its all about preference and pain tolerance. getting it on the side hurts more but yea i wanted to cryand i have an extremely high pain tolerance...not to scare u

no its cool. i want people to be honest about how it feels, just cause i wont feel as nervous if i know how it feels before i go, bc then i will expect it to feel that way.
