Peanut butter isn't unhealthy, but it has a lot of protein and a lot of calories. It's still okay to eat it once in awhile

Just like it is with just about anything else, moderation is the key. Peanut butter can have the same health benefits that peanuts provide. However, like alreadly mentioned, it is high in calories.

Skippy and all those types of peanut butter's are high in sugars and contain hydrogenated oils whch are hella bad for you. I'd recommend eating REAL peanut butter and the way you can tell if it's really real is to look at the ingredients and it should only be about three diffrent things inside (EX: Peanuts, Oil, Salt) they are the kind which you open up and have to mix the oils together.. Yes peanut butter (if it's real) is very good for you and contains protiens and such which are very healthy.

Actually it's ussually the sugar content that is smaller in natural peanut butter, not the fat. Besides, the fat is what is good about peanut butter.

Yeahhh, what F-Unit said. Peanut butter is full of HEALTHY fats, but don't get the stuff that's sweetened.
The best alternative to peanut butter is almond butter just because almonds are probably the best nut that you can eat. They aren't as high in fat as peanuts and they have more nutritional value. They've got quite a bit of Omega-6 and some Omega-3 which peanuts don't have.
Anyway I'm sure all you wanted to know was either you could eat the stuff or not buttt yanno. You should try the almond butter. It's good.

When I was about 11 I was unhappy because I thought I was too slim so I started eating peanut butter straight of the jar à la Brad Pitt. Anyway, after a few weeks of doing this I started to get this terrible pains on the left side of my chest and in my left arm, which lasted all through the time I was eating the peanut butter. I didn't put on any weight and the doctor said I was (pea?) nuts.
I don't know what that has to do with anything but that's the story of me and peanut butter.

Get a natural peanut butter to avoid the hydrogenated oils, firstly. Secondly, peanut butter is a positive source of EFAs (essential fatty acids), and is therefore to be encouraged.
