hi!! well......how do i acomplish the prep look?? all of my clothes are ugly old lady clothes and peutrid sweaters.... i also have horrid bangs which i am in the process of growing out... i have cool jeans and stuff....... but nothing out of the ordinary.. i own no abercrombie, hollister, or aeropostale.... my heart tells me im prep and gurly .. but my clothes say im about 50... I need advice about prep

man, this sounds gay. here goes:

the first mistake of looking good is actually saying you want to look preppy. hollister has a surf kind of theme to it, AE has a friendly vibe-- abercrombie (ugh) has a yuppie, growing up feel. pick what you want to be seen as and kind of make an effort to have your clothes match.

wear some fitting necklaces or something and change your hair to look good with it too.

well if you want to be a prep i recommend you buy abercrombie and go get your hair done nicely and get rid of your putrid sweaters. if your on a budget or whatever i guess you could get aeropostale clothing although i don't like that that much but in my opinion under no circumstances should you ever wear GAP. unless you are 60.

like mentioned b4, stores have different feelings on what u want. look for a GOOD haircut and get cute dressy shirts, not just tshirts wit logos on them. Get cute fleece jackets or something as well. Do DIY if u wanna. my friend got a plain white jacket from zumies and decorated it with cute iron ons to show her girly girl side. Do things like that. Also, get a lot of accessories, like bracelets, necklaces, and earings. Get cute belts, even a belt for your waist. Be your own style and let ur creativity drive loose and u're sure to get ur own preppy cool style.

first i wanna ask u, how much is budget? if u have enough budget, do these:
1. go to ur hairdresser and get ur hair done
2. buy some casual dresses
3. buy some cute jackets and sweaters
4. collect accessories like earings, belts, necklaces, etc
5. buy cute t-shirts
6. buy cute skirts
7. buy different types of footwear like heels, cute sneakers, cute boots, etc
8. put some make-up on (i suggest u to try MAC) >>> don't use too much make-up unless u wanna look like a clown
9. mix and match ur stuff
10. try not to wear the same clothes in the same week.
