I never noticed anything about them even in the recap show I just watched this week.

And... do you REALLY find out exactly why? What the hell did I miss? We haven't found out ANYTHING worthwhile yet, and it's halfway through season two.

whoanow, we dunno what the monster is exactly, did you see all those flashing images inside of it? there's more to that.

anyway, think back to the season 2 premier, and the episode where We see Walts power. also think about what that guy who was one of The Others told Michelle Rodriguez before she killed him... J.J Abrams has laid down all the cards, you just have to dig a little to find the ace in his sleeve. it's all there, just look harder.

well maybe more speculation than spoiler, but it's in response to Hooplah's spoiler: if they were images of eko's past then that's got to have something to do with who sees the cloud. Because didn't Locke see it in season 1 and then he was like, "I have looked into the eye of this island and what I saw was beautiful" or some lame shit like that? I dunno, Locke is weird. heh.

my thoery on the smokey beast:

we already know this beast is some kind of Security System, it seems to show up whenever the given characters get too close to the truth or find a way off the island. we also know that Walt isnt the only one with the power to manifest creatures, perhaps the others are simply able to create more advanced creatures. the beast is like a computer system, it activates when needed, and feeds and reacts upon it's targets fears. Eko is able to face his fears, so the beast can't touch him, Lock however has a very definate fear- being helpless, so the beast became substancial to him, and grabbed his legs, the beast, now substancial, was also now vulnerable to the stick of dynomite jack threw into the hole. the beast can manifest itself into various forms, such as a shark (watch the ep where Mike and Sawyer are on the busted raft, the shark that swims under them has a dharma logo on its belly.)

But her character is so fucking annoying.
Least its added some female action into it now lol , the other girls were either just annoying or boring :|
