This is probably a stupid question but yeah, o well.

I want to be a runway model. For catwalk, you need to be a minimum of 5'8. I am 5'5 and 15(profile says 16) and I just want to know what are my chances of reaching 5'8 or taller? My dad is 6 foot, my mum is 5'7. My brothers are 6'1 and 6'3. Both of my grandmas were 5'3 and both grandpas were 6'+. I haven't had my growth spurt yet. I have really long lean legs, but my top half isnt as long and lean. Does this mean I still might grow more?
What do you think?
Is there ANYTHING(apart from that operation to get your legs longer, i dont want to do that!)I can do(apart from heels) that can enchance my height??? I eat healthy and exercise regularly.

well, since im a guy this aint goona be that useful but i do understand the human body but id say since you 15 youve already had a growth spurt. its never the same for anyone, you could gain a inch or you might not even get taller. there is a possibility you can grow taller but the chance is slim and only lasts until your 25. im 17 and im only 5' so growth spurts dont always help, the long legs just sorta makes you feel akward(well, if their longer than your whole upper body like mine. but other than that i have no clue, i am a guy after all so i dont know much about that.

Usually a girl will grow for at least 3 years after her first period depending on the height of her parents, of course. Besides catwalk fashion modeling, there are many other types of modeling where you do not need to be 5'8". You need to find out what is your best asset and find what type of modeling you would be better at. You might benefit from talking to a modeling coach.

Petite modeling is for people under 5'7, so you could do that. You wouldn't get to do runway or serious campaigns/magazine editorials, but you can do alot of other things.

Thanks, I have only had my period for two years so yeah... I think my best assets are my square shoulders and my long legs. I would prefer to do catwalk. Mum and dad still think there is a possibility I can grow to 5'8.
I fit all of the requirements at the moment for catwalk apart from the height. I have the weight, broad/square shoulders, full lips, almond shape eyes, clear skin, good posture, medium boned, swan shaped neck, think long eye lashes and white straight teeth(just got braces off).
So I really wanna get taller!

When you go to the doctors or get an X-Ray ask about your growth plates. Sometimes they can get a good idea on how much more you can grow by the amount of space you have left between them. It's a good idea to get a lot of vitimen D and calcium to help your bones become strong.

if you hadn't had your growth spurt yet you'd be like 4'9

I have had one growth spurt like three years ago just before my period and you are supposed to have another one around 16-17. Then you grow slowly til your 20 or something. Thats what I thought anyway. Sorry if my other post sounded a bit up myself, it wasnt intended to.

I was 5'3" in gr. 9 now im in gr.11 and im almost 5'7" and still growing. I was so scared I was gonna be short because all my friends were like so much taller than me. So dont worry, its possible. Also you should see if like department stores like Bloomingdale’s and Saks are looking for models for their next catalog because I did some modeling for Saks when I was 5'5". Gives you a head start.
