Going once or twice in your life isn't going to kill you.
I went before my cruise so that I wouldn't burn..
It's those people who go every day who look like shriveled tan prunes.

One time can't effect you drastically, but it still effects you. Especially if you're going to a tanning bed, it's three times as penetrating and damaging. If you really think it's worth it, then go ahead, just don't get addicted to it (I know people who can't live without a tan). There are other options too, like spray on tans. I actually like the look of fair skin. I think it's elegant.

Actually, it only takes one burn to increase your chance of skin cancer dramatically.

A tan isn't a burn, is it?
1. Most people do burn when going to a tanning bed the first times.
2. tanning IS skin damage. It still is increasing your chances of skin cancer!!

Not if you do it how you're SUPPOSED to, and start your first few times going only 10-15 minutes, and use lotion.
It's a given that if you're irresponsible about tanning, it will have its consequences.

If you read my other posts as well, you will see that tanning itsself is skin damage. Either way, you are damaging your skin, and setting yourself up for possible cancer, premature aging, and sun spots.
Not worth it in my opinion.
