I have a birthmark on the center of my upper back and I want to get a tattoo over it but I dont know if it is safe to do it. I looked it up online and some websites say its ok and others says its not. So does anyone out there know whether it is safe or not?

What is the tattoo going to be? The birthmark might screw it up and make it look blotchy..

This is a question for the tattoo artist when you aproach them with an idea for a tattoo.

A lot of artists will not tattoo over birthmarks or moles. These are things that often need to be monitored by a doctor for irregular growth.. so tattooing over them may not be a really good idea, and the tattoo artist may not even do it.
