im not sure of any other ways you can straighten your hair without blow drying or straightening it, but when you do heat style it you should always put in a hair product in beforehand to protect your hair from being damaged. i also put in a hair treatment in my hair once a week to keep it healthy, give it moisture and reduce the dryness

I blowdry mine with a conair ion-shine hairdryer using the hairbrush attachment, and I use a little blob of straightening protecting gel before and after drying. Works like a charm.

I have the sameeeeeee type of hair. Pain in the butt isn't it? Haha, but I have an idea. Straight hair gets boring after a while so if you get tired of it, wash your hair and then brush it out and towel dry it so that it's still damp. THEN flip your head over and take a little bit of mousse and scrunch the ends of your hair, depending on how long your hair is. When it dries add hairspray and you should have surfer waves:) Looks really cool in shoulder length and longer hair!

add some difference. scrunch your hair one day, and straighten it the next. you'll add variation and save you hair!
also, use leave-in conditioner once a week, or a moisturizing treatment. use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.
you should also use infusium 23. its a leave in treatment you can spray in your hair and it has vitamins in it to restore your hair.
when you use your straightener, use it as little as possible. what i mean is: blow dry it first, then use the sraightener on places that only really need it.
and make sure you use a hair product or something that moisturizes your hair before straightening/blow drying!!!
hope this helps :)
