Hey, I have tried every means to lose the lower abdoninals and nothing has worked. I have tried level 1 & 2 crunches, normal sit ups, side sit ups, planks and pilates. I have a nice toned upper abdominal but the lower half has all the extra skin.
Are there any exercises that just target the lower abdominals???
As you can see, I have a very swayed back. Does this have anything to do with the lower part of my stomach to stick out and not seem to tone or decrease in size? I eat very healthily and exercise everyday.

wat does your top half look like, 4 the lower do reverse crunches where you lif your legs and hips of the ground and pull them towards you they target that area

Ummm, what exactly is your problem...I think that looks very hawt...are you sure it isn't muscle or anything...instead of skin?

You can target and train your lower abs all you want but spot training does not burn the fat in that area. You probably need more cardio, along with the ab work, to achieve the results you're looking for.

BooRadley is right, you can't lose fat in a specific area by targeting it alone. Also right about increasing cardio :)
Basically you have to lower your bodyfat, you do that through eating healthy (which you said you do), and doing the right amount of exercise. Get to it ;)

knee ups or cycles work the lower abs.
knee ups are also good if you hang from a pull up bar to do them, as its a good upper body endurance exercise also.

The people who have said to lower body fat are right, as the lower abs are ussually the last part of your abs to lose fat.

haha, Yeah F-unit, I have noticed that. I have been doing these exercises for about a month and haven't really seen a change. I have always eaten healthily. I have a skipping rope so I will start to use that more often and I am starting up swim training these year so I'll do a lot more swimming.
x-xSarahx-x: lipo is out of the question for three reasons. I am 16, I don't have the money and I want to do it myself, no sculples involved, lol.
Thanks to everyone for their advice.

That "flabby skin" is somethign that you probably won't ever be ale to get rid of. I asked my dance teacher and she said that msot girls start gaining a little weigh there around 13 years old in preparation for pregnancy. It's not a lot of fat and nobody notices it, but it's there to protect your body if and when your stomach starts to expand to accomodate a baby.
Still, there are models and celebrities who don't have it so I'm assuming there's some way out there to get rid of it.
