I was out shopping today when I was supposed to be buying Christmas gifts for friends, I realized there was enough snow on the ground and that I needed a new pair of boots. So, I walked into Athlete's World and all they had were these goofy clown shoes that go by the name of, "Converse." They sell for $50.00/pair and they are pretty ugleh. :( What do you think of Converse? Personally, this style disgusted me.

I used to like the uniqueness of converse a few years ago, now everyone and their dogs wear them, and that put me off alot.

Converse does make other shoe styles than the All-Star. I think some of those look better.

They were ugly when they weren't popular and now that they are, they're STILL ugly.

Yeah, a pair of white low-tops (or whatever they call them) are good with jeans.

The people who think they aren't cool anymore because they're mainstream are quite amusing. As are any people who think they're special because of the clothes they wear. In a few years you'll look back on yourself and be embarrassed.

I have a few pairs. I like them. They seem not to make them as good as they use too. The pair I have now haven't lasted very long. I bought them in August and they're starting to rip already. Also, it seems like everyone likes them. They're the new trend. "Omg. Those shoes are so cute and punk. Gotta go get a pink pair. Yay!"

I love them because they're super-comfy, but I definitely need new ones... however, I refuse to pay $50+ for canvas & rubber. My brother got 'em for like $20, and that's about the top end of what they're worth. They're SUCH cheap shoes... i like the converse all stars... but i dont wear the hightops... i wear the low rise... the tounge of them are pink... and the rest is black... and they dont make my feet look big... they actually make them look normal size... i wear about 3 1/2 or 4's

Man dudes, you can't hate the Chucks! They're so comfortable, and they're practically an american icon! Even though they're in style now, they won't always be, but I'll always be wearing mine!

yeah they are pretty popular but hell what isnt these days i didnt stop wearing them when they blew up big i just kept going i have a leather pair($60 but worth every penny) and a pinstripe pair($40 but kickass)

no it doesnt i wear con's and baggie jeans all the time and im a size 8 in a shoe and it doesnt make u look bigger ,it flatters some people,u cant really see ur shoe if u wear baggie jeans,and their not ugly by the way.

everyone in my school has those clogs/slip on shoes or enities... only like 20 of us wear them to school. i paid $40 for mine but they come in handy because they are so comfortable! they are not ugly!
