Don't worry, I'm sure ABC Family will run the re-runs for the next couple centuries or so.

I don't think it was canceld. I think they are just not going to film it anymore because they've done it for 10 years! It can't last forever. I'm going to miss it though!!

its not cancelled, they have just decided that there are no more story lines, and that the ratings arent as good as they were.

Well, I for one think it's about time the show was done in. It really should have been booted long ago. Some shows are set up so that they can expand and grow and still have everything stay within reasonable boundaries, this was not one of them. There's only so many story lines you can tell about a family before the whole thing gets stale. I watched it in the beginning and it was decent, but I think they hit a block sometime around the 4th season and it just became redundant for me to watch. I know others seem to like it, but it was really way back then that they went as far as they really should have gone. After a while most of the storylines just became less than believeable, even for a preacher's family, who's used to interacting with the community and coming across all of their quirks and problems and dealing with their own problems. But it ended up seeming like everythng was just being pulled out of someone's butt just to keep the show on the air. Eh, adios I say.

I think it has been an awesome show. My fave thing is seeing them all grown up in the new ones and then seeing them when they are little and seeing the difference and how much they have matured through the years. I think they should keep continuing it and it would still be awesome like seeing Savanna grow up or something. But the actors have lives and they can't go on forever.

That show was decent. I only watched like the first two seasons. After that it got complicated; too much stuff was going on iwth the family.

7th Heaven is annoying.
Ruthy is a know-it-all.
Eric wants to help WAY too much.
Simon...is freak.
Lucy, oh my God, dont get me started on her over-emotional self.
And Mary, just needs to make up her mind of EVERYTHING.
I'm glad 7th Heaven is gone.
Drama, drama, drama!

all it is, is a bunch of do-gooder christians getting into eachothers business, and into the business of others, who seem to resent it quite often. their recent anti-sex campaign is disturbing to say the least, honestly. the whole show just revolved around "the sin or pre-marital sex" now. what's the point?

Hahahaha. You must watch the reruns, too! ;] (Or does the anti-premarital-sex campaign carry on for another 2 seasons?! I wouldn't be surprised!)
I've taken to watching the reruns most nights..I've been watching semi-regularly since last year. I started out watching because sometimes the ridiculousness of it really did make me el oh el. Then I kept watching because I was kind of curious to see what would happen next. :o
The other night I flipped it on, and it was an effing musical. Annie introduced herself to Simon's latest girlfriend in the middle of a crowded street, then broke into song and dance in order to...tell her "my son is a mayun-whore and you shouldn't sleep with him because if you lose your virginity before you're married, you'll go to hell lolz!" :selfvomit:
No wonder they've finally pulled the plug on that show. ;]
p.s. I average one smiley per paragraph now.

7th Heaven was really good the first years it was on. I really enjoyed the story lines with the kids being young. Simon and Ruthie were best pals and Simon was always up to something. Having the older kids in high school was great to because you can build good storylines from that like Mary and the basketball team. Now the whole show is pretty much about dating and more dating and they ahve to many characters on the show. Mary is no longer on the show and Simon is barely there. There is not even the whole family on the show all the time. It was better during the early years.

Well maybe they can do like a 10 years later thing, since how all you want it to watch them all grow up. It woud be like the finale of it. Idk. I think maybe there should be a spin off with Lucy and Kevin and Savanna.

There are no words for how much that whole plotline (if you can call it that) disturbs me. Ruthie is my age but I still can't picture her as anything other than the little 5 year old she was when it started.
Plus her and Martin have NO chemistry at all and I wish the writers would stop trying.
Here's everything wrong with that show:
-they have storylines for characters who AREN'T ON THE SHOW ANYMORE (like the Matt/Sarah divorced or not thing, and Mary, HOLY SHIT SHE LEFT GET OVER IT)
-they didn't acknowledge that the actor who played Annie's father died for like a year and a half
-those goddamn twins who can't act
-their obnoxious puritan selves
-the premarital sex is bad thing (seriously... look what saving yourself did - Matt and Mary ended up in unhealthy marriages, Lucy got married and pregnant really young. The only remotely stable kid was Simon, even though his new girlfriend is the single most annoying person on that show since Lucy)
-Ruthie is so clearly Mexican or something, her complexion is way too dark to be related to anyone
-they've let both Ashlee Simpson AND Haylie Duff be on that show
-Mary got shipped off to Buffalo because OMGZ SHE TRASHED THE GYM AND DRANK LOLZ WHAT A REBEL. Come on now. That's nothing.
-I swear Annie is manic-depressive and may or may not drown the twins in the bath tub
-they never actually SAY Jesus. Ever.
-Lucy. Enough said.
Yeah, I watched that show... but I've all but given up. I watch parts of it when it's on but I can't stand it anymore (I love to hate it, really). But the one thing I wish they would have tackled at least once was homosexuality. They never touched it, probably because they can't find a way to somehow redeem themselves from being outright offensive.
