Ok, I want to get my tongue pierced but I have some questions.

1) Im TERRAFIED of the pain so how much does it hurt? (I have my ears pierced so how much worse is it than that?)

2) What are the risks?

3) Is 14 too young to get it done?

4) Do they numb your tongue 1st?

I have no ideo but if I were you I wouldn't do it! I heard that it hurts A LOT (my firend has it.) My friend is 13 like me, and she has it, so I don't think that 14 is too young. And they didn't numb her toungue first, but it is different everywhere so, I don't know. And you could get an infection, that I know. Oh yeah, and it might feel weird when you eat.

When you burn your tongue it heals very quickly, as does tongue piecings. It doesnt hurt a great deal, its a very short burst of pain.

In which case, I hope you've got parental permission because no reputable piercer is going to pierce a 14 year old's tongue without your parents there.

And tongue piercings are the most likely to get infected. You have to take really good care of them and be super careful but otherwise go for it.

my sis said it didnt hurt when she got it but one of her friends said it did

and if you do make shur you dont wana eat for a few days after you get it done
kas your toung swells sometimes so its hard to eat

i have like 4 friends that have it done (not sisters friends)
they say it dosent hurt unless you try to eat
but in 2 months im gana get my ear peirced for my birthday kas my mom sighed a contrackt with me to eather give me $100 or let me get my ear peiced when i turn 16
and i wana i might get my tong peirced 2 months later hehe almost 16

1)different people have different pain thresholds
2)you have to really look after it while its healing but don't over clean it, and some people get cracks in their teeth but you can't see them with the naked eye.
3)if its a prof studio you'll have to have your parents sign a consent form

also my friend said if they don't get it in the right place it like kills your tounge so you can't talk, dunno if its true tho.

People have been telling me that your tongue falls off it its done bad, has anyone ever heard of that?

i dont know about the rest but u can get tounge infections

i wouldnt do it, it dont look that good

Light up a cigarette and use your palm to put it out. if after doing this you feel the need to shout "Please sir I want some more." Then you'd definately enjoy getting your tongue pierced.

That's a little extreme, although I did once read an article about a girl who almost bled to death because they pierced the vein in her tongue.

And from what I've heard, some people can't have their tongues pierced because of the vein shape. If you look at the bottom of your tongue... if you can see the vein and it goes straight down the middle, you can't have it done. If it forks off you can.
