ever been in a jag or aston? I have and i can tell you they are a long way off glorified fords. Just because Ford own them doesn't men they are Fords. the only Ford based jag is the x-type

Guess who owns Aston Martin as well...yeah...Ford. In fact the XK-R and the V8 Vantage share a lot of the same bits.

Strange because thats exactaly what the V8 Vantage is. It's FAR less expensive than the DB9 and Vanquish. It's the "budget Aston". Hell it's even down right accessable (if you can access $100K)

There is a reason why Jags have gotten less expensive. Because Jaguar is a "premium brand" and not an exclusive brand, if they can't sell a lot of cars, they go belly-up. Besides it's not as thought build quality suffers and even the V6 and Diesel models are top-notch. I wouldn't feel bad at all owning a base model XJ or S-Type, it's still a Jaguar.

I like Aston Martin, but they still come second to Jaguar in my eyes. Jaguars are beautiful, fast, well-built and very practical. Super cars are nice, but I'd rather own something I could live with every day. Gimme some luxury with my speed.
