Why can I not do eye makeup good at all? I saw all the pics people are posting of their eye makeup and I am so jealous. Everytime I try, my hand is all shaky and I can never get a straight line. Then, I can't get the eyes to look the same as eachother. Then, if I finally get past those, I end up looking like a complete idiot because I look like I put wayyyy too much on. When I was in middle school, I was taking modelig classes and my agent taught us how to put makeup on and now I think that he jinxed me because now I realize that he didnt teach us makeup for everyday life, he taught us how to put stage makeup on! HELP! Lol. Im going crazy. I just want to put some cool makeup on and make it look good.

put on less..add more if needed.

for straight lines..it takes practice. but u'll get it.

make sure the colors go together.

i find what looks cool, is if the bottom part is colored in darker, and then as u go up ur eyelid the color fades. =p

ohh also. i heard this many of times.. if ur gonna dress up your eyes a lot.. dont play with a lot of lipstick, blush, etc. focus on one feature on ur face and work with it..

I'd say about the same. It does take a lot of practice to make the straight lines. Another thing to consider is what kind of makeup are you using? It all depends. Liqiud make up looks horrible if you put too much on and that's really easy to do do.

make sure you have good quality eye makeup.

As for the straight lines... it sounds corny, but take a crappy eyeliner or eyeshadow and practice making straight lines.

And since you arent very good with lines... try lighter makeup first...

Light pinks, blues, yellows, greens...

And as you improve your lines, move to darker, more vibrant colors...

The lighter colors wont show your imperfections is all.

Another way to make your eyes STAND OUT... is line your bottom lid with black eyeliner, and below the black, put a color... any color you want...

Also... coat not only your TOP, but your BOTTOM lashes too.

It makes all the difference in the world.

I got my makeup to look this way by practicing. If its something you love to do. Then practice as much as you can... but if your not worried about making a living out of doing makeup... I wouldnt worry too much about it. Just focus on lighter colors.

I'm pro at eyeliner. To make it easier, just dot eyeliner (if that's what your talking about) between your lashes, at the root, not above them. That way you don't need to worry about straight lines, and it will never look like you applied too much. Sweep mascara on from the roots, and your eyes will look really good... and it's super easy.
