When you get hungry, does that mean that your body has burned all the calories you've eaten?

And in regards to your question, when you get hungry it means that your body has used up a large chunk of your calories; you're running low.

Idiot.
When you are hungry it means you have not eaten lately, calories are energy that you get from food which your body burns.

Uhh no I did'nt, calories and food are diffrent. If I ate 10 big macs for breakfast I would have eaten over 5000 calories which is much more than my body needs in one day, and by the time dinner came along I was hungry again how could this be if I am not low on calories?

Yes, basically you have burnt up your stored energy source. It tells you you need to refuel.

um if you ate ten big macs at breakfast, i highly doubt you'd be hungry again by dinnertime lol, a meal like that would keep me full for the next few days.

Not at all. Hunger is mental for at least the first day or so.
After about 3-5 days without food it becomes physical.

Hunger means that your stomach is empty. It has nothing to do with the number of calories in your body. Calories aren't even a physical entity. Calories are units of measurement of heat; one calorie is the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one cubic centimeter of water by one degree celcius. And heat is nothing more than the excitement (movement) of atoms. Physically speaking, potential energy (calories) are generally stored in your body through the polymerization of monosaccharides and in hydrocarbons such as triglyceride. These stores of calories are completely unlinked to hunger. Furthermore, like Derexan said, the average person has enough calories stored to last for days before experiencing any serious negative affects (other than the pain of hunger).
