Has anyone seen the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie?
I went on thursday with one of my best mates. And we thought it was awesome.....
What did you guys think of it?

tim burton is on crack........ the people in themovie were on crack..... johnny depp had a resemblence of Michael Jackson, yet themovie was good, and funny. Oompa Loompa songs.. made me laugh, quite a bit. Good movie over all

I went to see it last night with my girlfriend and her best mate. I didn't think it was going to be that good at first as it was a U rating. It was really good though, the songs were pretty funny, the rock song made me laugh the most.

Oh my god. I went and saw it, and I hated it. It was an outrageously sick mutilation of the classic that is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I think I may have liked it better had I never seen the original. I'm sorry, but Johnny Depp cannot even begin to compare to Gene Wilder for the role of Willy Wonka.

i watched it las nyte omg its so kewl johnny depp was kinda funny the way he resembled jako buh scary at the same tyme. the oompaloompas r alot better tho there not as scary as the over tanned old ones lol i loved the film.

I went to see it last night, it was really good and the songs were so funny but johnny depp was a bit creepy! i dont think it was as good as the orignal tho

I went to see it a few days ago it was good .not one of depps best but still good ...

I liked it but prefer the old version. This one was more sinister and I didn't like the ompa lumpas, they freaked me out :cry: Mike TV was good and so was Depp and the glass elevator was funny, I liked the background on wonka's upbringing but overall I don't think it was quite up to the standard. Also did anyone notice that some of the rooms looked almost the same, particularly the bit all made of sweets (although the chocolate looked less like pink shit and more like chocolate this time, and the TV room.

I thought it was great, enjoyed every minute of it, not sure if its as good as the original.

Me and my Gf went and seen it on the first night it came out great movie funny funny funn the Umpa Lumpa's are funny there all the same guy over and over lol and Depp was just funny in that

I loved Jonny Depp in this movie! He's awesome but those umpa lumpas....not cool. I liked the old ones better because the new ones were basicly this one guy with hair that isn't green & skin that isn't orange....and yeah I hated that guy! The best umpa lumpa is Weeman.

it's one of those movies you'd have to see high... christ, the chocolate water falls looked so good. eat plenty of candy while you watch it too. mmm! :pink:

OK...lets talk about this... TIM BUtRON IS A FUCKING HERO. :pink: He makes movies with his own creativity and his imagination is inspiering. Have ne of u guys read his books? Also amazing. The oompa loompa songs were created by legendary film composer danny elfman who is my idol. He did all the oompa loompas singing voices as well. I think johnny depp brought a wonderful creepiness to willy wonka. This willy wonka is much more like the one in the book. Gene wilder did awesome as well but only had the insanity down on the boat ride. I LOVED THE MOVIE!

I saw it the first day it came out and again yesterday. It is awesome.

IMO, Gene Wilder was a better Wonka, Depp just seemed... 'weird'

But I LOVED the movie. The Oompa Loompa songs rocked, Veruca's was the best. They used the lyrics from the book which I thought was cool. They had the coats Willy Wonka wears in the movie on sale at Hot Topic, did anybody get one, I did. I also found the gloves online, which are now mine, muhahaha.

two of my friends have the coat, but they are black. Theres a festival going on in the town over this weekend so we're going with out coats on :D

LAMO I thought this movie was kick ass my and my fiance laughed our asses off all the way through it. It was jsut hillarious! I never thought I'd see JOhnny Depp play in a movie like this tho..but it was really good

I thought it was really good, but I haven't decided if it was as good as the original. The oompa loompas (How is it spelled? Oompa or Umpa?) they were a let down since it was the same guy. But oh well. The "Willy wonka, Willy wonka" song got stuck in my head at the end though. So I went around singing it to anyone and everyone. :)

:cutie: :newbie: OMG! I luved Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! Not only did Johnny Depp nail the part of Willy Wonka, but Tim Burton became my fave director even more than before! I luved the part about Wonka's childhood, and definetely hated Mike TeeVee, he was stupid. The kid that plays Charlie didn't quite go full capacity though, or maybe Tim Burton just undermined the part...

theres a few few songs buh there funny an more entertaining specially wit the oompa lumpas singin in there bright suits lmao. i got it on dvd aswell buh im getn the proper one wen it comes out cuz the copy aint to good.

I saw it twice.. not on purpose or anything, it just happened. I love Johnny Depp in it. He MADE that movie. I didnt like the oompa loompa songs as much, but I liked the kids a lot, and I liked that there wasnt any singing. Plus the Glass elevator was great!
