Okay, so I have been told many ways to put on eyeliner. An avon lady once tried to explain how to do it, but I still can't put it on write. I used to have a avon glimmersticks eyeliner (sorta pencil, but was very smooth & in a ball shape at the end) & i could kinda get it on with that, but still not very much. Girls usually draw a line completely around their eyes, and I love that look, but how should I do it so it looks more natural? When I put on eyeliner above my top lashes, its always a big gap between my lashes & th e line. I tried doing it underneath, but then it burned on my contacts. So any tips? Also, does anyone know of an eyeliner pencil similar to that avon glimmersticks one that maybe isnt so much of a pencil but it softer and will glide easily (I cant press very hard near my eyes, it hurts too much) Thanks,

New York Colors.(now this next part is gonna be complicated) You're supposed to do it on the rim of your eyes.

Ex: if you're doing the bottom part of your eye, you take the eyeliner and you run it accross the rim of your eyelid (you know where your eyelashes grow from? there) now i've see girls go underneath the eyelashes and do it and some goand do it on top of their eyelashes. i would suggest doing it on top so that way people would notice a change in the way your eye looks. And do it the same way on the upper part. (it's probably confusing but idon't know how to explain it better)

you shouldn't put eyeliner above the lash line on the inner part of the lid. it can get into your eyes and it's bad for them.

the brand i absolutely loooovvve for eyeliner is almay. i think it's 6 or 7 dollars, though, but well worth it. it goes on very smooth and is self-sherpening. and it comes in a range of colors.

I love NYC's self sharping eyeliners...

wow I really dont know how to explain how to put it on right though, but if u have a problem with ur lines not being straight, you can always smudge it a little and it will still look good. To eliminate that gap between ur line and ur lashes, try just coloring in where your lashes meet ur eye...I dont know if that makes any sense lol.

Use liquid. Trust me, it works fifty times better. All you have to do then is draw around your eyes...

But if you must use a pencil...

1. Make sure eyeliner is sharpened
2. Pull down lower eyelid, and color in the areas around there. Try to make a line as straight as possible.
3. Draw a simple line straight across the top of your eyelashes on the top.
4. If you need to make it look better, just draw a little more around the corners of your eyes.

If you need any more help, PM me and I'll send you step-by-step pictures.
