I say this every time someone mentions belly rings, but I really, really don't understand why anyone would want one. They remind me of the Spice Girls (not really a bad thing, but they were around 8 years ago) and they just look, I don't know... trashy.
Then again, I don't listen to anyone when they comment negatively on my fashion sense (which, I admit, is pretty dodgy) so... yeah, do what you like. I imagine it would hurt, being as it's someone sticking a metal bar through your skin but, just like any piercing, the pain won't last long.

This post might be slightly pointless, but I'm desperate for a tattoo as well, I just need to scrape together the money *g*.

i have a bellybutton ring and it didnt really hurt. I mean of course it did a little, but I was really relieved after I got it cuz I expected it to be a lot worse. I didn't look while he was doing it and I think that helped. It hurts while it's healing (it's really sensitive) and it took about 5 months for mines to fully heal. Hope that helps.

my boyfriend has a tattoo well two actually he said that it didnt hurt but it depends where you get it he got his on his shoulder. he siad that it felt like a bee sting but it wasnt bad as he thought it would be , so bascically its like the feeling of a sting.

Well, I have 2 tats. One on my right arm in memory of my grandmother and the other on my left arm with my name on it. It did hurt for a couple of days, but it was worth it though.

well i don't have a belly button ring because i think it looks stupid and trashy. tattoos hurt depending on where you get them, i watched my boyfriend get one and he said it hurt but not as much as he expected it to. he got it on his wrist, it all depends on where you get it

I personaly hate belly botton rings because everyone has them, they are not personal.

I have two tattoos one on my left shoulder blade and the other on my side (right). It all depend where you are getting it and how much detail it has. Tinkerbell on my left shoulderblade is just an outline and it didnt hurt. But the humming bird on my side was more painful..actuly more uncomfortable than painful but its a very tender spot expetaly up near my ribs which was the worst.

anyways, whenever i got mine done, yes it hurt. but the place i went to was very good and made sure everything was sterile. some people say that the clamp hurts but i didnt really experience that.. i thought that the actual piercing hurt a lot worse. it only lasts a couple seconds though and then you have a pretty new piercing to show for it.

oh and be sure that you follow ALL of you piercers instuctions... and dont change it too early, they take 6mon-2yrs to FULLY heal.

I want a belly button ring too they're so cute but like, everybody has them. I hate those like dangly stringy ones that go down to your waist I think that those are just plain weird

I got my belly button done when I was 11 years old at a peircing shop thingy lol anyways it dont hurt at all but you gotta make sure you take good care of it cuz mines got infected cuz I didnt take good care of it so yea hope I was a help to you

What I ment was, it wouldent be one of a kind, someone eles is always going to have exactly the same thing.
Unlike tatttoos which change with every person you see. Everyone who has a tattoo doesnt have the exact same thing as everyone eles.

I had my belly button pirced, but I kept the saftey pin in it too long because I was afraid of taking it out. Yeah, my friend did it at my birthday party. It didnt hurt all too bad, except for when i had to get it cut out at the hospital because the saftey pin broke apart in the belly button and got infected. Lesson learned. I just gave myself two tattoos, and it didnt hurt at all. I now have a grand total of five. It sorta like getting a bunch of paper cuts.

I have a bellybutton ring and it barely hurt. Though it is sore for a few weeks if you hit it or something.

I got my belly pierced and myself and one other girl are the ONLY people that I know that it hurt. For some reason mine really hurt me but I know like so many people with it and they said it didn't hurt at all. Mine didn't hurt afterwards until my stomach was jumped on by a big dog when I was lieing down, but that would hurt with or without the belly ring

Bellyring: It didnt hurt at all...it just feels like someone is pulling on ur naval a lil bit...dont get urself worked up because it really doesnt even hurt a lil bit...getting pinched hurts worse.

Tattoo: Ya ok that one hurt...It hurt REALLY bad until my back went numb, and then it was just annoying...but everytime he got closer to my ass or went over my spine it hurt like hell again. It depends on where u get it though...

I think belly button rings look cheap and tacky, and they look so bad on fat chicks.
