The world is not as it used to be.
With guns, threats, and fear all around us.
We are afraid of the truth.
The truth is we are in danger,
Every day, Every night.
There is no safe place.
Only the comfort that surroundings give us.
But the world was not as it is now.
See...
Once upon a time, long ago there was peace between the worlds. That was a time when no one knew of each other. No one knew of the danger, that laid just outside. No one knew of the dangers that waited in the night.
Now...
THe world is not as it used to be...
People are afraid of what might happen,
to themselves, and to others.
We are just left wondering...
Wondering what might happen to us
So...
We are left...
Praying...
And hoping...
That someone will save us all.

Cute idea. Maybe you could split up the middle lines. I find them too long.
'THe would is not as it used to be...' you spelled 'world' wrong
All in all, I liked it. Good work.

Great subject to choose, only you could select some situations that are happening in the world to cause fear to illustrate the rest of the poem and the ideas you have there.
