I've been thinking about buying liquid eyeliner for my upper eyelid only. Is it really hard to get on? I know it's really messy, but I want to try it. Also, I have light brown eyes. Do you think any colors besides brown and black would look good or would it just look tacky? Tips would be appreciated.

The pencil is a whole lot easier to put on, whereas with liquid...you gotta have one hell of a steady hand to apply it perfectly.

I put on liquid eye liner just on the top too. I think it's a hell of alot easier then pencil. On the liquid you just have to follow the eyelid......... it's not too hard.

Thanks everybody for giving me some advice. I might or might not buy liquid eyeliner. I thought everybody would say it's hard to put on, but I guess it just depends on the person. If I do buy liquid eyeliner, I promise not to buy blue or green. Maybe that would be a little tacky. I think I'll get either brown or black. www.fotki.com/BrownEyedShorty Password is see.
^^^ These are my pics if you could give me more tips. Thank you.

id suggest pull at the corners of your eye when applying it so the skin is flat.. and let it dry for a few seconds atleast before letting it go. Besides that, take it easy. Wait til you're used to applying it before trying anything too difficult.

One of my cousin uses dark blue eyeliner. It looks pretty nice but she's really dark. I think either brown or black would look good with you though.

Pencil is easier on top. If you get too much liquid, it'll run. But that's just liquid eyeliner for ya! Plum it's just harder to make it really straight. but if you get it in you eye, it's perfectly painless
