I saw a documentary ages ago called "Texas Teenage Virgins" and it was very interesting.

The rings I guess, work like a cross worn around the neck. In the sense that it signifies a belief. However, as a further point of contention it also seemed to be mainly christian girls that were donning these rings under the pretense that it would make them better beings.

Sex probably won't ruin your life if you take proper precautions. The condom is very effective when used correctly, and a lot of girls over here in the United Kingdom are on the contraceptive pill. When combined, they are essentially an impenetrable fortress to pregnany.

I couldn't really be bothered to look around and find out where to buy the rings or whatever because, personally, the thought of waiting 'til marriage never even crossed my mind. But, eh, you go for it.

I have one. It is a simple, silver plated one. It says True Love Waits..with a small black dot inbetween each word. It's really cute...and to those insulting the belief - shush. Because while I may not stay a virgin until marriage, this is just my way of reminding myself I'm waiting for true love. Yessir. It's just a nice little "always-there" reminder not to do anything stupid.
