I've been trying not to do this lately--- :cheeburga---I've been trying not to eat fatty foods like burgers. I already have a flat stomach, but I want a rock-hard one. Do crunches help a lot? Like, I've been doing 400 a day. I'm working my way up to 500 a day. Yeah, when you keep on doing crunches, do you get a hard stomach? I really want a stomach thats hard because I have swimming class at school next year and I'm going to have to wear a bathing suit. So I need to know if crunches are good to do if you want a tight, flat, hard stomach.

Crunches only work the upper abs.

yeah me too? i thought they were the same

anyway, you actually have those abs, BUT you have to get rid of the fat that is covering the muscle. So keep doing your crunches AND you will have to diet to get the abs. Just combine healthy eating with exercise every day and you should see results.

500 is a little too much though, are you doing them correctly? because if you are doing them wrong there is no point in doing them. Make sure you pull your belly button in to the floor and put your arms behind your head.
