I just saw a preview for his new movie. It's about time! Anyways, it looks really good. Japanese culture isn't the subject of many Hollywood movies so I'm excited to see how they pull it off. I don't know much about the culture or samurais, but if anyone else does let me know what you think about this movie!

The movie does look good...,but not Tom.

Not Tom? Because you don't like his acting or because you don't think he's cute? Both? He's definitely not one of my faves, but overall he consistently does very good work, even though I like a lot of his early work the best. Lately he seems to doing movies that are different from the typical movies like comedies, dramas, etc. instead he's opted for "Vanilla Sky," "Minority Report" and this one "The Last Samurai." I like that about him, he's not scared to try new things.

I can't see Tom Cruise forsaking a culture that worships guns for one that worships swords. Or katanas. I'm not sure. Sharp pointy things.

This is him, in character I mean. Heh. Maybe somebody cool like Timothy Dalton. Though he is kind of old. But his voice is one that totally commands submission.

Who is Timothy Dalton?

Timothy Dalton is a British actor who played James Bond in "License to Kill," he was also in "American Outlaws" with Colin Farrell, and he's going to be in "Looney Tunes: Back in Action." Although he's a great actor, I don't really think that he'd be appropriate for Tom's role in "The Last Samurai." And the reason that he "forsakes a culture that worships guns for one that worships swords. Or katanas." is that he's a washed up General that fought in the Civil War and is now a drunk who has nothing better to do with his life. He doesn't play a righteous character, but I'm sure he becomes one during the movie.

Oh I still have no idea who he is I will have to look into it.
