Has anyone else heard about it?I went to the movies the other day and I saw a trailer for it. It looks good. It is done in the same style as Nightmare Before Christmas. Johnny Depp is going to be doing a voice in it. So Im really looking forward to it but it doesnt come out till September 23. :( But here's the trailer (http://corpsebridemovie.warnerbros.com/) for anyone interested.

Oh I can't wait. Tim Burton is a genius, and stop motion animation has such a cool affect. It really makes you appreciate all the work that went into making the movie.

It's true that Tim is genius, but this film only verifies my belief that Johnny Depp is Tim's bitch.

I saw that trailer last year. Seeing it in the theater the other night reminded me of the movie, and I'm pretty excited for it.
Oh, and whoever said it was stop motion - look again. It's obviously CGI.

Not obviously. I'm pretty sure it's stop motion--It looked too much like Nightmare to be CGI.

This is another stop motion outing for Mr. Burton, it may look like CGI but it is most definatly some top quality stop motion work.

Just because the art style is similar to Nightmare doesn't automatically make it stop motion. That's how Tim Burton draws, all the time. Pick up a copy of The Melancholy Death of an Oyster Boy and Other Stories.
I still stand by it being CGI, not because of the smoothness of the animation, but because nothing looks like clay. it's all too smooth and fluid to be physical models.

I would be willing to bet everything in my possesion (which isn't much but still) that this is definatly a predominantly stop motion picture, there may be some minor useage of CGI at some points during the film I don't know but like I said I am sure that it is stop motion work.

CGI = Computer Generated Images
It's something completely done on a computer, like Shrek, or most of the special effects you see in movies these days.
Stop Motion is taking physical models, moving them a tiny bit, taking a picture, moving them a bit more, taking another picture, and so on and so on. You then stream the pictures together to give the illusion of animation.
This is often done with clay, and prime examples are The Nightmare Before Christmas, Gumby, or The California Raisins.

It's stop-motion animation. Using steel armatures covered in a layer of silicon skin.
It's most definitely not CGI.
