I thought that was interesting. It has a lot of places where young writers can get published. Remember, there's nothing wrong with getting published in an online literary magazine. It's always a good thing to put in your resume if you're ever looking for a literary agent.

:) That made me really happy. I've been wanting to try and be published, but I've been too lazy/ dumb to start looking for decent places to do so.

Ditto. But I'm trying to get mine self-published. Could be cheaper. :)

Heres another website if you're looking into self-publishing. Probably what I'm gonna try and do..

self publishing is ok, but it is usually more expensive. If you get a publisher, they cover all the expenses and you earn royalties from it. Self-publishing is good for some things though.

True. The website url I posted there does two methods of publishing. Though taking your points into consideration, I probably will recheck the whole idea before I do send them off. I have contacts along the editing line though. But whether they will accept my work is another matter. :)

getting them to accept something is hard, that is true. The key with that is to submit to places that published stuff like yours already, and to push the envelope, but not so far as to scare people away because of the risk.

Here's a link you might find useful. I need to get my story down on paper before I look at publishers though, so my research is rather limited.
EDIT: another link to another publisher:

Are you talking about getting a chapbook published?
I think you'd have to be really established to ever even consider getting a book of your work published. Especially since most people don't like reading and never end up buying poetry any more. It's much easier to get yourself known through local magazines or poetry readings, freestyles, slams, etc...

Probably. I don't know much about publishing, but there you go....

Poetry books are really hard to sell, though you might have a chance if it is romance poetry. I would suggest pairing your poems with maybe some short stories and the like as well. make an immersive experience for the reader somehow. And gaining noteriaty is always a helpful thing.
